A lot of senior doctors reach a point where they are doing well externally but internally, something feels "off".
This may relate to an unclear sense of direction, having a lack of headspace or time and/or being financially stretched.
Taken together, this can result in doctors feeling stuck with no apparent way out.
At Medics in Control, we are all about doctors' reclaiming agency and control over direction, time and money, delivered in a simple, practical and sustainable way without leaving medicine or making reckless decisions.
You’re constantly busy, but feel stuck
Work follows you home, even when you’re off
You’re carrying responsibility real without control
Financially, things look OK, but don’t feel flexible
This isn’t a time problem
What often happens is that when headspace disappears,
clarity goes with it.
And when clarity goes, decisions get delayed.
This is because you’re operating under constant cognitive load.
Before anything changes externally,
agency needs to come back internally.
If you want a clearer starting point, this takes about 2 minutes
A structured way to step out of autopilot
and start making deliberate decisions again.

Hi, I'm Jamie Gross, NHS Consultant and Founder.
I created Medics in Control after going through this myself.
After a period where things had quietly drifted far enough, I had to stop and reassess everything.
And what I found wasn’t a single answer. It was a series of different things I tried on a "trial and error" basis.
I kept what worked, ditched the rest and now share my experiences and insights with colleagues so that they can make meaningful changes to their own lives.

A space for senior doctors to step out of autopilot, think more clearly about work, money, and time, and take practical control of their next steps.
Stay in touch and hear about new resources and workshops.
